Our first round of meat chickens was successful so we decided to move things along and expand into turkeys for Thanksgiving.
The particular breed is called a Broad Breasted White. They’re supposed to grow extremely fast and have a ton of breast meat. The website said that we can expect them to weigh out around 30 lbs by Thanksgiving time. If that’s the case, they’ve got quite a bit of growing to do in a short amount of time…
We ordered 20 of them so things will either go very good, or they will go very bad… We’ll know in around four months.
